Scope & Focus
The Journal publishes original work in educational philosophy, Islamic educational thought, comparative pedagogy, curriculum theory, and related fields.
We welcome contributions from Muslim and non-Muslim scholars across all relevant disciplines.
Articles should engage with both primary sources and current scholarly literature.
Length & Format
Research articles: 6,000–9,000 words including notes and references.
Review articles and essays: 4,000–6,000 words.
Book reviews: 800–1,200 words.
Submit in Microsoft Word format (.docx), double-spaced, 12pt serif font.
Include a structured abstract of 150–300 words and 5–8 keywords.
Referencing
Use the Chicago author-date system for in-text citations and bibliography.
Transliteration of Arabic should follow a consistent standard (IJMES or equivalent).
Arabic script may be included alongside transliteration where appropriate.
Anonymisation for Peer Review
All articles undergo double-blind peer review. Remove all identifying information from the manuscript itself.
Author details should appear only in the submission form, not in the document.
Originality & Copyright
Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
Authors retain copyright; the Journal is granted right of first publication.
